UCC Scholars Program
The UCC Scholars Program provides a mechanism for peer mentoring and support designed to inform adult/nontraditional scholars of opportunities; relevant programming; and what it takes to succeed and enrich their academic experience. The program is designed to enhance the participation of adult and nontraditional students in honors, research, and other co-curricular enrichment programs. The focus of the program is on adult and nontraditional students who are engaged in an honors program, research, internship, or other academic enrichment programs as well as those students who are eligible and can benefit from such an experience. UCC students with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.4 are strongly encouraged to participate. Honors & Research Experience Eligible adult and nontraditional students admitted to a degree-granting school at Rutgers-New Brunswick may apply to the honors programs offered through the school. Adult and nontraditional students enrolled in an honors program may participate in special co-curricular opportunities designed to enrich the honors/research experience. A list of available honors courses and seminars is provided to eligible honors students each term. Academic Enrichment In addition to required courses and thesis project, adult and nontraditional honors students affiliated with University College community will be invited to attend and participate in the following events during the academic year:
