Postbac Prehealth Program

The Postbaccalaureate Prehealth Professions Program through the University College Community, New Brunswick, is designed for college graduates who wish to acquire an education in the health professions and who need to take some or all of the basic science courses required for admission to medical and other health professions schools. A certificate option of the program is available to students who meet an initial minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 and a non-certificate option is open to all eligible students. The program also serves students who need to improve their grade point averages to enhance their applications to these schools.

C. HPO REGISTRATION: All Prehealth students are required to register and maintain a file with the Health Professions Office (HPO). The HPO provides advising and support on all aspects of the application and admission process, including maintaining files for prehealth students and a composite letter of recommendation written by the Premedical Committee.

* A copy of your Program Registration Form will be forwarded to the Health Professions Office to establish your file in the office. It is your responsibility to maintain the file, and provide all necessary documentation for the Prehealth Committee Letter.
