Nature is an ideal ‘sustaineer’ (sustainable+engineer) that provides inspiration and solutions to the modern-day engineer’s dilemma. We are interested in leveraging the scientific and engineering principles underlying the sustainable utilization of renewable glycans or carbohydrates for energy, food, health and advanced materials related applications.
