Re: [HoB/D] Alert on AIDS drugs

Tom Hart, director of ECUSA's Washington Office, told us on the Standing
Commission on Anglican and International Peace with Justice Concerns that
there are now 10 million AIDS orphans in Africa. At the current rate,
there will be 40 million AIDS orphans there in 2010, only 9 years from
now. There are only 40 million students in all the elementary schools of
the United States.

There are 5,000 AIDS orphans in the city of Newark right now. How many
are there in your town?

At a conference on Hunger a week ago, Rosemari Sullivan noted that half of
the people of Ireland either died or fled the potato famine in the 19th
century, but that no one in England died.

These crises are not just about hunger or AIDS: they are about human
community. Who is my neighbor?
