Anglican: Confederate Money in ECUSA

The Episcopal Church has been saving Confederate Money and even exporting
it. Of the eleven states of the Confederacy, only Texas and Florida are
not among the eleven states with the worst record of inclusion of African
Americans in the Episcopal Church. The District of Columbia and Maryland
have sunk to hold that distinction

The picture is not much better anywhere else either: only one state in
the union has a higher percent of black clergy than it does of black
people in the general population. (Can you guess which one it it is? You
can find out by visiting the complete table plus other data on black
clergy at http://newark.rutgers.edu/~lcrew/blkpr.html)

Outside of my own parish, too often the Episcopal Church is the whitest
place I inhabit.

When was the last time that you were close enough to black friends to be
invited into their homes? When was the last time you invited black
friends into your home? Into God's?

Surely we have much better news!
