 I was referred to your web site by M.R. and  have since visited  
often.  The wealth of material and grace of its presentation is
seriously inspiring- I don't know that we'll ever meet, but as

Thanks for publishing Bp. Spong's white paper -- repeatedly, it 
seems, as I saw it on the Anglican list.  I know that Spong is 
spoken of with -- at best -- condescension -- and always with 
considerable discomfort even by some who profess to sympatheize 
with him.  But, by God, he seems to me to speak with the 
prophet's voice, and not only about this gay controversy. 

If it's a matter of "institutional unity" v. the truth as one 
fallible but honest man sees it, there's no contest. The prophet 
creates the future of the institution.

Thank you for a fabulously courageous and helpful account of 
growing up as a gay Christian. My own experience growing up as a 
gay Christian in England,uncannily close in age to you,resonates 
greatly with what you related so well. I am an attorney and a 
founding member of the lesbian gay and bisexual subsection of the 
Candian Bar Association, a national organisation of Canadian 
attorneys with 85 members locally. Last year my Roman Catholic 
cathedral parish, encouraged by our social justice activist 
bishop joined with local Anglican parishes to study the Canadian 
Primate's material " Hearing diverse voices:seeking common 
ground" - with great success.
