Dear Louis,

I've enjoyed your web pages and think you're doing a great service for all
Episcopalians.  I've also enjoyed meeting you over the years, Louis,
although I haven't seen you since a conference in Houston in 1992--which I
didn't like at all, though it was a treat chatting with you.  Since we've
last been in touch I've transferred to the Diocese of Louisiana, a
terrible mistake, but one which I'm trying to rectify.  I just finished
reading your list of bishops and clergy who belong Phi Beta Kappa.  It was
ver y illuminating.  It also got me thinking: how many bishops and
clergypersons have Ph.D.s?  Do you know?

ANSWER:  Of 13,634 clergypersons listed in the 1996 Episcopal Clerical
Directory, 757 (5.5%) have Ph.D's; 1,823 (13.4) have an MA..... and of
course almost all have an advanced degree in theology.....

I came looking for some good graphics for my soon-to-be
Episcopal homepage. One thing that WON'T be on my page is
the glorification of this lifestyle found on yours. Homo-
sexuality is a symptom of a morally dying culture, and has
appeared in the last days of most great civilizations. It,
contrary to the opinions of most, is NOT an alternative
lifestyle. Our church is open-minded and non-judgmental,
but there are certain absolutes, even in this modernist
post-Christian age. Matthew Thomas is absolutely right in
his comments regarding homosezuality. Quit being a "queen"
and look to the "King of Kings" for what He had to say on
this topic.
You're probably a wonderful person, and you'd be even
greater with a lifestyle change. Your web site is nice.

Thanks for your extensive research regarding the Episcopal
