Research Interests:

Population dynamics of the endangered Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow.

I'm interested in the population ecology of birds, in particular how behavioural processes such as habitat selection and dispersal can influence patterns of population persistence and decline. My studies focus mainly on species inhabiting agricultural or grassland environments, and my current project looks at the population dynamics of the endangered Cape Sable Seaside Sparrow. My other research interests include understanding the consequences and mechanisms of long distance dispersal in birds, and modelling interactions between bird populations and the wind industry.
