Silicates


We have developed protocols for measuring a wide range of trace elements (transition metals, rare earth elements, and more) in plagioclase, pyroxene, olivine, zircon.  During each run we make routine measurements of our internal lab standards for these minerals in order to assess long-term reproducibility of our instrument and ensure data quality.

Oxides and Phosphates


We are working to develop new protocols for measuring fluor-apatite, rutile, magnetite and ilmenite.

Carbonates


We are working to develop new protocols for measuring corals, bivalves, forams, and fish otoliths.

Other


We are currently working to develop new protocols for measuring element ratios in fossil mammal teeth.
