Proposal Writing Workgroup--Spring 2009

Registration is now open to join the Spring 2009 Proposal Writing Workgroup

The Resource Center for Graduate Student External Support’s Proposal Writing Workgroup will meet on Thursday afternoons (1:30-4:30) throughout the Spring 2009 semester. The goal of the workgroup is to help doctoral students prepare their funding proposals well in advance of the Fall 2009 deadline season.

To participate in the Proposal Writing Workgroup, you should have a dissertation topic that is developed sufficiently enough so you will be able to begin to write a draft proposal and to fully participate in this intensive proposal development experience. Participating in the Workgroup will require a considerable time commitment on your part. Please do not register to participate unless you are confident you will have ample time to dedicate to the writing process.

In order for the Workgroup experience to be successful, all participants are expected to commit to completing the pre-meeting exercises and to attending and actively participating in all scheduled meetings.

Space is limited and pre-registration is required. To register for the workgroup, send an email to:

Once you have registered, you will be given access to the 2009 Proposal Writing Workgroup Sakai site. Once you have access, please visit the site, and follow the instructions posted on the site to confirm your participation.
