RU Ecological Preserve Trails Day

Discover the Rutgers Ecological Preserve & Natural Teaching Area! To increase awareness and encourage public use of Rutger's most precious natural area, we are hosting a
HIKE IN THE WOODS

WHEN: Saturday, May 3rd from 10am - 2pm
WHERE: Rutgers Eco-Preserve on Livingston Campus (Festivities at RU Ecological Preserve Parking Area on Road 3, Parking will be on the lot on the corner of Road 1 & ST1064)
WHY: To get people educated and involved with this rich natural area

Join the Advanced Environmental Geomatics class of Spring 2008 and Learn more about what Rutger's greatest piece of natural land has to offer! Come out for a day of activities which will include - Clean-up/Litter Removal 10:00-12:00 - BBQ Lunch Break - Guided Birds & Wildlife Hike including Spring Warbler Watch - Guided Hike on History and Forest Communities of the Preserve - Orienteering/ GPS Geo-Cache - Freestyle Hiking, Biking, Photography or whatever else you are interested in! Everyone attending will receive an informative brochure about the Eco-Preserve including a detailed trail map, as well as interesting facts about the preserve and all its natural assets!
