Workshop for Immersion Chinese Teachers

Course description:
This workshop will provide information on second language acquisition, in particular in the Chinese context, and also information on methods and strategies used to teach young, non-native speakers.   The presenters, Lucy Lee and Janice Dowd will discuss immersion in the content-based teaching stressing the use of communicative modes in the target language.  In the afternoon, teachers will have the opportunity to begin to develop a content-based lesson.

Parking: Parking is very limited and controlled at Rutgers.  Car pool is strongly encouraged. Please park in one of the Faculty/Staff parking lots with a visitor parking permit.  Please inform CIRU on the number of car permits your school will need, so we can mail them to you in advance.
