Lecturer on the Rampo Tomato

New Jersey’s most famous farm product, the Jersey Tomato has a long and colorful history. One of the major landmarks in its history was the development of the Rutgers Tomato by Lyman G. Schermerhorn during the 1930's. It gained its reputation as a staple in Victory gardens during World War II. The Rampo Tomato was a successor to the Rutgers Tomato.
