Welcome! This manual is designed to help faculty and grad students create lecture slideshows. It is based on PowerPoint 2003 for Windows, which is on the computers in the Van Dyck lab. Most of these instructions also work for older PC and/or Mac incarnations of the program, although some of the commands have changed just enough to make it frustrating.

A clickable Table of Contents is on the left. The topics can be read in any order, but this manual is designed so that first-time users can work through it and create a slideshow as they go. You can get more detailed PowerPoint instructions from the official help files, which can be found by pressing F1 while in PowerPoint. The unofficial website http://www.rdpslides.com is also good for troubleshooting and tricks.
