Addendum to the University Code of Student Conduct: Effective May 28, 2009, under Part 13 (b) of the University Code of Student Conduct (UCSC), disciplinary probation shall be defined as follows: UCSC, Part 13 (b) Disciplinary Probation: A student who is placed on disciplinary probation may continue to participate in student activities but shall be ineligible to represent the university in any official function or leadership position, including but not limited to: varsity athletics, student leadership position, cheerleader, standing committee chairperson, university senator, officer of a student government association, or an elected office in any registered student organization. After at least one semester free of behavioral violations, the student may petition the senior student affairs officer for the campus, or designee, for the restriction on participation to be removed as a condition of the probation. Violations of the terms of disciplinary probation, or any other violation of this Code during the period of probation, will normally result in suspension or expulsion from the University. Notice of this action may appear on the student's academic transcript for up to two years.
